Kappa Kappa Psi is a fraternal organization that promotes the advancement of college and university bands through dedicated service and support to bands, comprehensive education, leadership opportunities, and recognition for the benefit of its members and society.
Marching Chiefs 5k committee
Comprised of six brothers of the Gamma Nu chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi, the Marching Chiefs 5K Committee works to organize and execute this event at a level expected of Marching Chiefs. With a high standard for excellence, the committee continually strives to maintain and improve the race so that it can be an enjoyable experience for all. How much actually goes to the Marching Chiefs?
Fifty percent of the profit from the race will go directly to the Marching Chiefs. The remaining fifty percent will be used to invest in the future of the race, directed to other music ensembles, and put towards service projects conducted by Kappa Kappa Psi for the Florida State University College of Music.
Why isn't the percentage given to the Marching Chiefs higher?
Kappa Kappa Psi is a student organization and has limited funds to put together such a diverse event. Funds not used to help other music ensembles or service projects will go directly to fostering the future growth of this race.
