finances faq
How much actually goes to the Marching Chiefs?
Fifty percent of the profit from the race will go directly to the Marching Chiefs. The remaining fifty percent will be used to invest in the future of the race, directly help other music ensembles, and provide funds for service projects conducted by Kappa Kappa Psi.
How much will go to the Marching Chiefs in the future?
In the future, more profit will be given directly to the Marching Chiefs. Starting in 2019, the percentage given to the Marching Chiefs will increase between two and five percent every year until a financial threshold is reached.
Why isn't the percentage given to the Marching Chiefs higher?
Kappa Kappa Psi is a student organization and has limited funds to put together such a diverse event. Funds not used to help other music ensembles or service projects will go directly to fostering the future growth of this race.
